It is reported that the most important factor that favours the development of contract manufacturing services are lower labour costs, which results in cheaper services in Poland, cheaper than in Western Europe. The high competences of the people who deal with it, as well as their knowledge of production technology, are not without significance. What counts is the good quality and reliability of the companies that deal with it.

Contract manufacturers are also favoured by the fact that the electronics market itself is growing. Electronic devices are already standard in many sectors and it has also been observed that new industries also reach for electronic devices because the number of projects and orders is also growing.. We do not have to look for examples far - LED lighting, M2M communication, or industrial applications required the use of advanced technologies.

There are more and more companies that can design a system, but cannot assemble, so contract services have become an indispensable development infrastructure. Consequently, many small and medium-sized companies have been launched and they have taken over the production. They are very happy to deal with assembly services, both in mass quantities, but there are also those that specialize in short batches and prototypes that they offer to all in need.

Another factor is the growing importance of outsourcing (cooperation) in the production of electronics around the world, which resulted from the growing importance of specialization as well as the increase in the advancement of electronics. The dominant surface mount technology, the availability of SMD components and design trends have led to the fact that it is impossible to do without machines, and therefore also without EMS services.

 What can hinder the development?

Speaking about the factors favouring the development of EMS services, it is also worth mentioning what may hinder the development. What are we talking about? According to experts in the development of the EMS services market, too much competition may prove to be a disturbing factor. In recent years, the EMS services market has developed very rapidly, which means that many companies operating in the same field have appeared on the market.

Some may consider this an advantage because a big range of offers suggests that the market is doing well. In practice, however, such a large group of companies operating in the same sector means a lot of competition in applying for orders. Fortunately, the development of our own market and the increase in cooperation with foreign companies allows us to ensure business continuity.
